[Vol 1] I Attended A Blind Date Chapter 45

Chapter 45 - Sasaki’s First Love and Azaki’s Jealousy

After the hellish feeding-each-other ordeal finally ended, Azaki and I split the bill and left the family restaurant.

On the way back to the stadium, Azaki kept pestering Aihara again without learning his lesson, while Sasaki and I walked behind them.

Even gentle and kind Aihara rejecting him like that says a lot, but still…

“That shaggy guy really doesn’t know when to give up. I think Aihara-san seriously hates it.”

“Azaki probably knows that already and still goes after her… He just can’t give up. He’s had his eye on Aihara for a long time.”

“…I kind of understand how he feels.”

“Huh, seriously?”

“Yeah… once you fall in love, it’s not that easy to give up. And I’m… like that too.”

Right. Sasaki’s been devoted to her first love ever since her idol days.

That’s why she sympathizes—just a little—with Azaki, who keeps chasing Aihara as his one true love…?

No, no. Comparing Sasaki’s first love to Azaki’s would be way too disrespectful.

Azaki claims Aihara is his one and only, yet he’s been involved with all kinds of women.

Compared to that, Sasaki even went abroad just for her first love—

My feet suddenly stopped.

Come to think of it, Sasaki didn’t go to England… she went to Paris.

When we were talking about her study-abroad destination, Azaki and the others showed up and interrupted us.

That means there’s a chance her first love isn’t Kanagawa Ryuushin after all…

“Makishima? Why did you suddenly stop?”

“…H-Hey, Sasaki. What kind of guy is your first love?”

“What kind?”

“Like… his height, or his age.”

“Eeh…”

When I boldly pressed the issue, Sasaki frowned, fell silent for a moment, then slowly spoke.

“H-Height… he’s tall. And his age is… close to mine.”

Kanagawa is 190 centimeters tall and just one year older than Sasaki.

Just as I thought… Kanagawa Ryuushin?

“He has a gentle face, but he’s surprisingly lonely. That kind of… boy.”

“I-I see.”

Sasaki blinked at me as she spoke.

I don’t really know Kanagawa’s personality.

From what I’ve seen of him on TV, he felt more rough and wild…

“Got it?”

“Got it…? Yeah, I got a good idea of him. If Sasaki likes him, he’s probably a good guy, right? I was worried he might be someone like Azaki, you know. Hahaha.”

“…Idiot.”

Sasaki briefly pulled down her black mask, stuck out her tongue with a cute “bleh,” then ran ahead toward Aihara.

“W-What was that about?”

With Sasaki pushing Azaki aside, Azaki ended up falling back next to me.

“You look gloomy, partner.”

“Lend me some of your mental strength.”

“Nope. If I lose to you in mental toughness too, on top of looks, I’ll have no chance left.”

Azaki said that while kicking my butt.

“More importantly, Sasaki-san is pretty cute too, huh?”

“What?”

“She’s small, but her figure’s great. Slim arms and legs too. And if she took off that mask and glasses, she’d totally be popular. If it were me, I’d take her down in no time—”

I reflexively grabbed Azaki’s shoulder as we walked.

“N-No. Sasaki is off-limits… absolutely not.”

“…Pfft. Look at you getting all serious. I told you already, I’m all about Aihara-san. And besides, if her chest isn’t at least an F-cup, she’s not my type.”

“You trash…”

“Well, if you’re truly serious about Sasaki-san, things will work out. I’ll guarantee it.”

Azaki said that as he brushed my hand off his shoulder.

“Y-Yeah… I hope things work out for you too, Azaki.”

“Is that sarcasm?”
